Narges Ashtari is a PhD student in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University supervised by Prof. Parmit Chilana. Her broad research interest is human-computer interaction (HCI), with a focus on enabling and encouraging exploratory programming especially making Augmented and Virtual reality experiences. Her recent project involves defining the key barriers AR/VR creators face and designing support tools for simplifying their authoring process. Earlier, Narges completed her MSc in 2018 in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SFU) specializing in computational design and designing CAD systems. Narges also has a multidisciplinary background holding a BSc in Architectural Engineering from Art University of Isfahan (2015).
